Reefs Rehabilitation to Reforestation on Earth Day Ceremony, Tejakula - Bali

The Earth Day celebration going on the northern of Bali, impressively. The celebration held in four locations: Penuktukan village (April, 21 2011), Bondalem village (April, 25 2011), Tejakula village (April, 25 2011) and last in Reef Check Center in collaboration with SD Negeri 2 Pacung.

Tejakula sub-district is located in the Northern part of Bali, about 3-4 hours from Denpasar, and located in a narrow beach with steeps hills. Far away from bustling Kuta, this area offers a beautiful landscape on land and underwater, as well as a active in environmental conservation, land or sea. The community has been active in contributing to environmental preservation efforts. Enthusiastic, Caring, Aware and Act may be four words to describe to the community.

As the "opening" series of the Earth Day on Tejakula sub-districts, villages Penuktukan did clean beaches and reforestation efforts (ketapan tree planting) along the coast well. The event continued with handover of Hexadome ® and a set of snorkeling equipment to fishermen group who represented by Darmika Made and Nyoman "Semir" Darmawan, who is also "motor" of Tejakula LMMA.

When the parents/adults to commemorate Earth Day, they are still a child also did not want to lose the opportunities action. Well! That students of SD Negeri 2 Pacung. They collaboration with Reef Check Indonesia and Teacher assistants will conduct beach clean event. Activities will be held on April 30, 2011 in the Pura Segara Beach - Pacung. By implementing the series of Earth Day 2011 activities, is expected to be a step forward for the mutual holding-hands in a bid to help and restore natural conditions, which then affect the coastal ecosystem restoration in Tejakula sub-district, and the presence guarantees the availability and
sustainable of marine resources.
